In the near suburb of
Tokyo, Mandala2 is a bar located in a commercial area.
But, by looking at the notice near the entrance, once can
read KNEAD, written with red letters.
|
|
|
And for who is able
to read japanese characters, the three names written
above are worth a look : Haino Keiji, Tatsuya
Yoshida, and Hasashi Sasaki ! That is Ruins
and Haino Keiji together !!! |
|
However, there will
only be a little more than 50 persons in the small room
(filled with chairs and tables) including around 15% of gaijin.
But one should notice that the entrance fee is a kind of
prohibitive one : 2500 yens plus drink, that is at least
3000 yens ! |
|
|
|
|
|
Luckily, the concert
was worth this fee. To be honnest, I never had such a
sound-slap since I saw Zeni Geva ten years
ago. The kind of gig that blast your brain and make your
ears pouring blood for days ! |
|
|
The three artists,
among the best ones in their own field, offered a
astonishing performance. Very impressive for a very first
gig indeed ! According to Tatsuya, a forthcoming
record from this live could be released. We can only hope
for that to happen, for all the people who wasn't present
at this event. |
|
The power gave out by
Knead seems without limits. From this
sound-outbreak, just some peacefull instants could be
heard, to better surprised you when the next wave comes
such a tsunami. Haino Keiji
brings his guitar and his voice to the Ruins which
are more relentless than ever. The voice loops from Haino
Keiji or from Hasashi are mixing with the
bass loops, the shouts from the three singers and with
the furious intruments.
|
The voice, voices in
facts, are real intruments at such a point that Knead
offers an a cappela tune. |
|
|
After he gig,
consisting in two 45 minutes parts, everyone was totally
wild-looking. |
|
|
One hope that Knead
is not just a short-lived collaboration but a real
project. If Haino Keiji and Ruins
wanted this gig to be a kind of test, they passed it
easily. When will the first
LP be released ?
